Janet Clark is an attorney and has a private practice. She is single and living a quiet life with her father, a retired judge. She chose to stay with Ed, her dad, for a while and it has now been five years. At least twice a week, Janet strolls up the street to her favorite ice cream shop. A stressful day can turn into a joyful day with one lavish scoop of ice cream. Much to her surprise, the person behind the counter is someone she has never met before.
