In 1688, a rare edition of the Magdalenian Ecstasies entitled La Vita e Ratti di S. Maria Maddalena de' Pazzi, the subject of the present research, saw the light in Venice. After Vincenzo Puccini's 1609 biography, this important volume - curated by an anonymous editor who had access to the manuscripts kept in the Florentine monastery of Santa Maria degli Angeli, where the Saint spent most of her life - offers a new and broader canon of Mary Magdalene De' Pazzi's mystical experience.
