This is the first volume in a new series that seeks to reconfigure key theological themes by retrieving sources from within the historical stream of Latino/a theologies and recontextualizing them in contemporary circumstances. It addresses what could be called a preferential option for culture, with essays by Miguel H. D az, Nestor Medina, Carmen Nanko-Fern ndez, Jean-Pierre Ruiz, and Mar a Teresa (MT) D vila on a variety of Latino/a lived expressions of faith. Included is a foreword by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, President of the Pontifical Council for Culture, who expands on the implications of the Incarnation.
