More than two thousand years ago, a historical figure lived, taught, and was executed by Roman authorities-a Jewish man from Galilee who, as the prophet Isaiah wrote, "had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him" (Isaiah 53:2a), yet whose message about salvation being for everyone changed the course of history.
What if one was thrown into the tribal mix of this man's Jewish followers? What if one was ordered to spy on this Galilean? How would such a person react? How might this unlikely association change a person's life?
This is a what-if story.
