The Three Women of Faith unit uses the Bible stories of Lydia, Dorcas, and Priscilla. These wise and courageous women of faith showed their love of God and Jesus through their faith and service. These women can be role models reflecting the image of God for all of us.
Children will have the opportunity to:
become familiar with the stories of Priscilla, Lydia, and Dorcas;
understand the importance of hospitality;
understand that women had an important role in the spreading of the Gospel;
understand that these women used their skills and resources in service to God;
discover that these women can be role models for everyone;
discover that it was revolutionary for women to have a significant role in the life of faith;
come to know other women as spiritual leaders.
